Check out the real facts on the USDA website -

    http://ptfc.ussoccerda.com/sam/teams...p?team=4000860

    16 rostered for the U’14’s.
    18 rostered for the U’15’s.
    24 rostered for the U’17’s.
    21 rostered for the U’19’s.

    Total: 79 players x $2000/player = $158,000

Some way short of the $240,000 someone else was throwing around.

They don’t collect for lunch and dinner, the players/families pay for that directly on each trip. Just like every other youth soccer team and club around when they travel.

No, they do not collect food money, players pay for their own meals, just like Teams are managed at other clubs.

Don’t forget to add costs for food. That’s quite a bit.

Plus the notorious try out fees is a very large number collected from parents of players and parents of kids that show up but aren’t good enough to make the team.

It might not be a quarter million dollars but it’s a big number.

They really don’t travel too much so that probably covers a lot of it.
It’s closer to $200,000 collected from families if you include try out fees. Not sure where you get $240,000.

$35/day food allowance is the guideline on trips. Breakfast is inc with hotels. Hardly breaking the bank.

Where are you getting 70 players from? Rosters show 79.

$35 per day x 79 players x 5 days for food for Florida would be $13,495 not too bad.

Could you imagine if the kids all showed up with that money and handed it to the manager, all in small bills? That would be about 2,785 five dollar bills.

Not everyone is paying full price.

Whatever the thorns collect is just a number in the long run. Money is money.

Except that won’t happen because the players keep their money to pay for their meals...

I thought US Soccer DA rules prohibited try out fees? Have they ever answered why they charge $125 to try out?
