You know, in the U.S., who should get paid are the parents. The clubs just pilfer all the best players from each other year after year. It's the parents, who year after year pay these exorbitant club fees, coaches fees, tournament fees, travel expenses, and the uncountable number of private lesson (which is what actually develop their children), who deserve any kind of compensation.

The problem is determining what club developed the player; the one they played U18? It would be nice if the money could go into scholarship funds or to help recruit and retain the best coaches. US clubs should be offering career coaches health benefits and more.

Unless a club is footing the entire bill, and the parents aren't paying for any extras like private coaching to actually develop their child, then of course the club deserves some sort compensation. The way it is now, how does a club deserve it and not the parents.

The club people eat this crap up and are laughing behind our backs. We need to be realistic about our kids abilities!!! The clubs are nothing with out the parents, let's go back to playing real rec and have the DA for truly gifted players!!
