Something about this communication statement from Valeo club does not pass the smell test.

So after easily beating weaker DAP teams and playing the better TX and Chicago DAP teams even, you think this team has only 3 DAP quality players? Makes sense.

DAP starts at U14 (which last year meant birth year 2000). They have never played, let alone beaten, a DAP team. Do not confuse pre-DAP teams operated by DAP clubs as DAP teams. Totally different.

You are clueless. These clubs are DAP. It really bothers you that Valeo can play with Solar and Magic and your boys can't. Those teams will be DAP u14 next fall. Totally the same.

If your logic was correct then all of the Bolts pre-dap would become DAP and that is not the case because when that magic year comes many new superstars come into the organization that weren't there before.

The team you are playing now is good but they are not DAP

Older U12 in June, 14 months later are DAP u14. Texans, Solar, Surf, Magic, Orlando other top DAP were not holding back their best players, they played. Valeo made it to semis because they are on that level. No smoke, no mirrors, no just 3 good players: same level as top DAP clubs. So yes not DAP, top DAP.

No. Some if their current pre-DAP players may make the DAP teams next year and many will not. In addition, the best current 2002s at these clubs are already playing DAP this year, so you won't even see those kids on the pre-DAP teams.

It depends on the location. Some clubs have many pre-academy clubs, some DAP (Bolts), some DAP/MLS (Revs.)

The teams at the Supercopa in Dallas had the best of the best players. I am sure there are more peppered around the country, but not too many that are *better* than who we saw.

Valeo U12 elite would have performed much better if the coaches had bought only the best players to the tournament. The benches of the teams we played were just as strong as the starter. Not even close for Valeo.

Wrong yet again. Most of the best DAP clubs that participated in SuperCopa in Dallas did not have pre-academy 2002 teams last year. Texas (Solar, Texans, Dynamo) pre-academy are u13 and u15, u13 for 2002 starts this fall. Chicago Magic, PDA did not have 2002 pre-academy last fall either. Neither did Orlando, Pateadores, Scott Challagher, all were were 02/03 not birth year.

It's understandable that you are upset that a non-DAP club can compete with the best DAP clubs and your kid's team can't. But could you please spend five minutes poking around the web before posting nonsense in your pathetic attempt to try to trivialize the accomplishments of the Valeo team?

You do realize that I am a Valeo dad. Do you always speak to someone like that that you don't agree with?

You two should start a Valeo U13 thread to **** each other there.

DAP clubs don't promote their u12 and pre DAP teams up to their 14's DAP team. They only take the best players from them and look to draw the best from other clubs to fill their roster.

It depends which clubs you are talking about. Some of the Texas and CA teams have thousands of kids in their system. No need to look elsewhere.

The landscape will change this year because DAP is pushing down and scooping up more players at earlier ages. I don't particularly think this is a good for US Soccer, IMO it would better to leave youth dev to those who do it best and leave DAP at u16 and u18. It is what it is, basically a two-tier system starting at u14, some impact on u13 but very little at u12. Saying, yeh but these other clubs did not send their best pre-dap players is factually incorrect given that most didn't even have pre-dap birth year at u12.
