The doubling is wrong.
If they include uniforms with normal tuition next year. They have a 200k expense. If they don’t include uniforms they save 200k. That is it.
While your math is ok, you are not a CPA.
Their email said, "In an effort to avoid cost increases, all players will wear the current uniform kit for the 2020-21 season."
That means, we arent going to give you uniforms that cost the club $200K every year but we are still going to charge you the same
So we save $200k by not ordering uniforms, and we still collect that same $200K we did this past year that would have paid for those uniforms. So in a way, that is a $400K turn around

Here is something people have to understand as a big difference that I see between FSA and CFC
FSA = Farmington Sports Arena
The arena was built before the club. The club's purpose was created to support and fill the arena. So during these times, it should be no surprise that the club isn't worried about what it does to the families of the club, it's priority is to make sure that the facility is taken care of. That is why the tuition paid by the families will cover the lack of revenue normally brought in by the facility in the last several months.
The name of your club is, FSA FC which literally stands for Farmington Sports Arena Football Club.
CFC = Connecticut Football Club
This is a soccer club who built a foundation and culture around the club itself, and recently when it had the ability to build a facility for its families, it did just that. But it built it as a training facility and home game fields for the club. There is no fan-fare at the facility, there is no upstairs restaurant being jammed down your throats, the focus at the CFC facility is for the club.
FSA FC was built and named after a facility
CFC Park and Fieldhouse was built and named after a club

Club's pricing varies and not always related to quality or performance. Take for instance MA clubs (from MA TS board):
Stars -$2,950
Scorpions- $3,000
NEFC-$3,300
Select- $4,300
Arguably Stars the best club here in certainly the best league. Not sure if that includes kits but nevertheless far lower than Select which now plays in an inferior league.

The market is not very price sensitive especially (and more so now) if you have an ECNL badge. FSA could have increased prices by $500 for next season and still reused 2019 kits. Sure some may have not returned but others would have filled their space.

This shouldn't be argument about what clubs are charging and is it worth it.
The argument on this thread is that FSA has said next year the tuition won't go up so they can save money but they are not doing uniforms next year.
So if your are not doing uniforms next year but you are still charging the SAME amount then the club is saving money NOT the families.

Check to see what is included in the price. Does it include tournament exp. ? Some clubs charge extra for that. Does it include coaches expenses for games and tournaments? That becomes a huge expense. Is that in the fee or extra for each tournament
