      Are they going to stick with Westside?

      * Cony's opinions on ECNL are well-known
      * Nike is rumored to have brokered the deal. Westside has been an Adidas club since long before the Timbers Alliance.

      Looks like they are for now.

        BWAHHAHAHAHAH! All you fools who spent years crowing about your ridiculous GDA being better than the money grubbing ecnl. How does your crow taste? Salty and bitter, I hope. Seriously this is the funniest thing I’ve read during this pandemic. What a bunch of idiots.

          Ah, a dog who has caught the car, and is now going to find out what high-speed rubber tastes like.

                Just like ODP? That’s fine. Glad Oregon girls have a landing pad in Oregon. All the boys that are booted from Timbers Academy in Oregon at these same ages, to make room for 16 year olds from Korea and Bolivia etc, have no other top competitive league.

                  How is Cony going to talk himself out of this now?

                        Right. Thorns only has to go as far as SoCal to find their talent. In OR you can be a standout and the Thorns can pay for you. Looking forward to seeing how this decision impacts our local girls.

                          A decade

                          It has only taken the ENCL about a decade to recreate the RCL / OYSA top division.

                          Nothing special about the ECNL to many teams, no real qualification process other than sign up.

                          ECNL was a good idea but it was always a money grab. This should teach the kids that greed will always triumph over good ideas.

                            “E” in ECNL

                            “E” in ECNL Does not stand for elite. It stands for “everybody” that can pay. Just another league/organization making money off of youth soccer. If it was truly elite you wouldn’t see the proliferation of teams or allow politics into decision making process.

                              If it were truly Elite then neighborhood Oregon clubs wouldn't be involved, ever. Maybe with the NWSL Oregon entry firmly in place, the locals will be kicked to the curb in years time.
