Not surprised. SUSA can't develop shyt. All they know how to do is buy teams that were developed elsewhere.

Ecnl runs with travel partners...either Susa only gets 1 team so EM is still the travel partner or they shove another team in Nassau to partner with EM.....at which point we all switch to tennis or get our heads examined.

Hahaha Paul Riley tells the girls they're getting ECNL and what it really means is "you can try out for an existing ECNL team that will be wearing a different shirt than we do"

        Thats some real truth gymnastics.

They could always do that....why would any money change hands for that? What did Susa buy?

What are they even buying? A club that's a 45 minute ride from their new base of operations? If it's just for the boys ECNL badge, what happens to all the Albertson players?

Not a chance...Susa had a strong inaugural year, but it's not like they had National Champions across the board. Alby/Fury barely has a program left on the girls side-no 2004, barely a 2005 team, the 2003's may have some quality individual players but the team is underwhelming to say the least and the 2002's are out this year.

I don't think that anything to do with it. If we all have learned anything it's that youth soccer is just business.

it is a deal that allowed PR to say what he said and not technically be lying.

Why would Susa care about helping cover up lies from other clubs? What did they pay money for exactly on the girls side...or is this just boys side?

Looks the same as the ISA deal but for opposite genders. When they bought ISA, it did nothing for the boys but the girl's side got NPL (pre-GDA when NPL was still a coveted league). This does little for the girls except maybe picking up a few players or the overflow from EM...

But at least ISA and SUSA were relatively near each other. Albertson is too far away from CI to travel to on a regular basis.

For girls, Albertson SC was no longer in the GDA. They got kicked out of ECNL then put in GDA, then kicked out of GDA last summer. There was only Fury left in GDA.

LOL, bordering on a 3-strike rule and just going to force them to disband.
