Some people will always pay. So, yes. It can support more than 1.

The question that is more appropriate is...Is there enough talent to support more than 1 club on the highest two platforms and have competitive teams?

I think had GDA not screwed the pooch and came out head to head with ECNL and allowed HS soccer, ECNL would have been burried by now. Huge tactical mistake by USSSF. Underestimated HS soccer big time. And the fact there was less $ incentive for clubs because of combined ages.

So, now ECNL vs DA...for now at least.

5-6M people, the answer is certainly yes it can support both successfully, but still needs consolidation.

Need better coaching and early youth development. The coaching is brutal, but the talent level high.

The pool of talent is there. No doubt. It's the absence of proper coaches and more importantly the management of those clubs. They need to be run as a business by experienced professionals. Having played soccer at some point in one's life is not the criteria.

Depends on what you mean by support.

yes some dip**** parents will pay whatever to say their little runt is DA.

but competitive on a national level... no. S. Florida struggles to field one that is competitive nationally.

The player pool in south florida is no different than California, Texas, Georgia, or Michigan. Kids are the same in all of those locations. The difference is the quality of the organizations that run those clubs. Experienced and trained coaches, administrative directors, office support, business organization. All of that combined creates a solid product.

Half-ass former players with no business acumen is what you find in south florida. Get rid of this approach and you will see immediate improvement.

Keep dreaming if you think south Florida soccer is like Cal, TX, or Mich. You are the problem. If we continue to spread out the player pool we will never compete in ecnl or DA. There should be one club that succeeds and then go from there. First prove even one club can compete at that level. So far no club has.

Some lessons in reading comprehension would be good for you. READ the post. It says nothing about spreading the player pool or keeping the status quo. That you for illustrating another major problem...uneducated and illiterate adults that think they are experts on both soccer and business.

Agreed, consolidate clubs at every level in south florida, would need fewer coaches-only high quality ones will make it, larger player pools and internal competition will improve development. limit the club hopping, CA, GA, CO, TX teams have players together for many years, players know the system and their roles, add in good technique and you get big wins against many FL teams.

says the guy that can't afford it or whose kid wouldn't wouldn't be accepted into the camp. We applied. They called two of the three references we provided and we got a scholarship after my DOC called them. some money scheme. maybe you should shut up and try it. but your kids has to be qualified and fill out the app. and this camp will call your coach.
