Why does anyone think Inter academy will work out better than OC

Do you just have more faith in Beckham to run a quality academy?

It didn’t take OC long to run theirs into the ground and sell it off to MV.

There will be more local support for both the MLS team and the academy than what OC ever had. Count on it.

They will run it like ocys. Not enough support down here to make mls team profitable unless they are winning all the time. No profit in developing unless they can get a transfer fee when good kids go to Europe or elsewhere instead of playing mls. Loss category on the booksheets for a mls club that will find it difficult to fill the stands and make a profit.

Truth. Inter needs to do well early and fill those seats and get corporate funding. Not much profit in developing kids until they change the rules. Time for MLS to look forward and change the rules, lot of teams losing money anyways, might as well be a development center and make money off it and make USA soccer better as a result

Why can’t they be like Atalanta. Place is packed every game and academy doing well.

Probably will be better than Atlanta. Surely, the Latin population will support the team en mass.

Because the ownership group is well funded and the deal so highly political, for political reasons if nothing else, the academy will be supported, at least initially, and the recreational program will be providing lots of kids with playing opportunities that maybe would not otherwise have those opportunities. Ten years down the road things could be different. But at least initially they have to, due to the deals they have cut, support a solid academy program and a rec program that benefits kids in miami.

Hilarious how blatantly racist our society has become. Latins are lazy, period. The same poster thinks the Jews won't go becuase they are too cheap and whites won't go because they don't understand the game.
