New ECNL club, Delaware Sporting, is coming to the N. Delaware area, 15 mins from West Chester SC (Penn Fusion). This new club has ties to the Philadelphia Union. If the DE Club gets into ECNL before DA folds, it could impact SE PA clubs like Penn Fusion from getting back into the ECNL.

What Glenn Crooks failed to mention...

ECNL has agreed to absorbing most but not all DA teams
ECNL has agreed to try to limit travel where possible
ECNL has agreed to upgrading their minimum standards for clubs
ECNL has agreed to no more than 18 active players per roster with a cap of 24 for a season.

USS has agreed to recognize ecnl has the top youth league (mls and usl academies are a seperate entity)
USS has agreed to move to graduation year age groups
USS has agreed to keep the same scouting network used for DA but apply it to ECNL
USS will support coaching education and referee training

USYS and US Club have agreed to hold a single state cup.
State cups end there. No more regionals. Open to ecnl.

US Soccer National Championships (U15,U16,U17 only)
      1 US Club Team
      1 USYS NL Team
      4 ECNL Teams.
WOuld almost make sense except the fact that not all areas have access to ECNL. So why limit state cups?

State cups would expand to include all clubs. There just wouldn't be regionals.

It’s always been about the $$$.

Maybe ECNL absorbs those players (widgets). Bloat rosters to 30. Add a second ECNL team to club to fit the DA castoffs.

          Then call it a win-win.

Never about the kids....ever. Naive to believe otherwise. Lololol

And the above with all the stuff Glenn Crooks failed to mention. - Whatcha smokin?

Highly unlikely. Phila Union also has ties to PF.

No soccer (or sports) this spring or fall because of this virus so time is now to get Gda teams over to ecnl and restructure divisions.

Agreed. If it happens, will be interesting to see if they take all DA clubs which I could see being part of negotiations.

Who is negotiating with who and why? Ecnl can negotiate with any club they want to and either grant that club a spot in the league or not. Same for gda if any club would want to try to join. Why would they negotiate league to league? I don't see what either has to offer the other.

ECNL in return for allowing more oversight will leverage us soccer for coaching education and refs. USYS will essentially become the true grassroots organization and along with the ncaa pushed really hard for the grad year +1 age groups. Nothing is final. At least they are talking. From what I hear the whole EDP business model is in jeopardy. They might get relegated to tournaments only.
What do you mean by”the ncaa pushed really hard for the grad year +1 age groups.” What does grad year +1 mean?

It means if your kid age wise should graduate with the class of 2025 but for whatever reason repeated a grade she can play with 2026 kids ... original grad year +1. If she stays behind one more time she cant play with the 2028's

I have a hard time believing NCAA pushed for the +1. What is the reasoning behind it.

Don’t believe anything written on this thread - some moron likes to stir the pot and make sh** up, posting the same crap on every states thread. Did the same thing a couple months ago with soccer going back to grade level.
