GDA can't give Weston or SFFA the boot. There are not enough clubs to support the league if they all get kicked out. Weston and SFFA are not even the worse clubs which is shocking!!

This is total BS and there is no probation. I (rival DOC, parent, rival coach) leaked this to Talking Soccer is an effort to undermine Weston GDA. This is BS just like 90% of what's on this site.

I just know that for better or worse, Weston GDA is not going anywhere. If USSF wanted to pull GDA, they would have last year after CP left and the club had a mass exodus of players. They didn’t because they got their guy to take over and try and build the program up the right way.

Did USSF think this was going to happen overnight? Of course not.

If you think that Weston is on probation in a league that has WFF, Boca, and USA in it...well, that makes zero sense.

No way USSF doesn’t let the SF Soccer Allinace play out for better or worse. It’s exactyly the way the GDA is supposed to work in concept...top players in a region funneled to one program. Even that will take some time.

Inter hasn't even locked up the land. They don't even have ANY facility, yet. They don't have any boys teams, yet.....but, they are coming right out of the chute with a GDA in addition to all the other roll outs?

Sunrise is behing this rumor. Parents have defected to Weston this year and we are asking the others to come as well. Sunrise is not useful any longer.

Doesn’t matter if all the youth clubs end up at Weston, it’s still Weston, and the girls program has no culture. It’s a mess and will continue to be a mess. Look at the results from the weekend. For kids at Sunrise or any other club it’s a less than lateral move. Sunrise has all the clout in South Florida. With the right partnership Sunrise could easily get GDA or ECNL, especially with FC Prime ready to fold and Weston on probation with the GDA. Perhaps people need to wise up at Sunrise. Who needs has the greater need for Sunrise players and who has the most to lose if they don’t get those players? So what club is really more valuable?

Unfortunately Weston GDA are on probation and Prime are a sinking ship. Prior to GDA which club had a better reputation for girls soccer, Sunrise or Weston? Did GDA save a girls club that was on it’s last breath? Truthfully, Weston and Boca United made good choices when others were stuck in time.

Look, Sunrise saved Weston this year for sure. Weston was about to fold...but you know that. which is why it’s funny that people point to the record this years a failure, they are in rebuilding mode. Sunrise didn’t do it out if the goodness of their heart, though. They know they need ECNL or GDA affiliation to stay relevant moving forward. Maybe they’re holding out for an ECNL affiliation, but Prime has ECNL and I don’t see Sunrise getting it...even though they are telling their players they are getting it next year.

Training and organization is better than any time in the last 2 seasons. If they don’t get some talent back into the program next year with the alliance, then that will be the writing in the wall.

Again, going back over the years Sunrise was the better club. Weston planned better and got ECNL. Both Boca United and Weston were smart by going after the highest level league and that was ECNL at the time. Clubs like Sunrise and Team Boca really dropped the ball as those two clubs were doing pretty well in the early 2000's, and those two clubs should have had ECNL over Boca United and Weston but poor DOC's really messed up!
My point is Weston can't make it without other clubs. This is not the case in the GDA with other good clubs as they develop a base of players grown within their own club. It's shocking that SFFA and Weston need to go out and beg other clubs to help them, and cannot do it on their own. Pretty soon these other community clubs are going to see that it just isn't worth it for them to join up with the DA clubs. Also, the SE conference isn't good. Tophat are the only decent club, not the best, but a good club in a good league. Weston and SFFA, even with adding smaller clubs still stink, and this is nothing new and has been the case since they entered ECNL and then GDA.

You say Weston and SFFA sink. Why don't our clubs do better playing on a national level? Why to be "stink"? Sunrise teams are good but without the DA and ECNL clubs they would have never won nationals. But Sunrise are better than Weston and SFFA. Why are our top clubs behind and why does it seem so slow to fix? It's not like Weston and SFFA don't have a lot of money to put towards the cause.
