I’ve seen the numbers. The women’s side makes a lot more money than the men. Higher attendance at appearances/home games, higher TV ratings, except men in World Cup. Sponsorships through the roof.

If it was a commission based compensation package, the women would be paid more than double the men.

      Source, please.

Without even looking it up, I'd bet the men's NT makes 20-30x the women's NT overall every WC cycle. You can't just dismiss the world cup revenue and have useful data when the WC accounts for 95% of the revenue for both teams.

This isn't an equal pay for equal opportunity argument. The women are not doing the same job as the men. They play in a league that is far less competitive globally.

"The men still pull the World Cup money wagon. The men's World Cup in Russia generated over $6 billion in revenue, with the participating teams sharing $400 million, less than 7% of revenue. Meanwhile, the Women's World Cup is expected to earn $131 million for the full four-year cycle 2019-22 and dole out $30 million to the participating teams."

Does US Soccer pay the national team player’s salaries? Something they don’t do for the men. The men should also file a law suit.

Wouldn’t it be cool if our men could compete in a World Cup. That would be cool.

Wouldn't it be cool if the Women's soccer was played competitively in at least one country in the world?

The women generate almost equal revenue over a four year cycle but the women are immensely more profitable. Salaries and overhead are much lower for women.

Appearance fees and TV ratings for women are much higher with the exception of men’s World Cup and most people are not tuning in to what the US men that’s for sure. Of course the men laid an egg the past World Cup so they should have all got a pay cut.

It all begins and ends with the men's competition being on a different planet from the women's. Under their current argument, gymnasts should be getting equal pay to the WNT. That's about as similar a comparison as the MNT landscape vs WNT landscape.

Yes the women are more profitable but unless they can beat the men they shouldn’t get paid anywhere near the same.

Same is true at law firms. Women many times generate more billable hours but they should never get paid more because the men could beat them in a fist fight.

In a 4 year cycle most women give up playing this basically amateur endeavor, since they can't make a living wage, nobody is willing to pay for their services, they are just not in demand on any continent to any broad on interested television or day of game market.

Men's Soccer is the #1 sport in the world and has billions and billions in revenue and sponsorship at the club level.

Everton paid a transfer fee for a young american male at 64 million euros just last month.

Maybe the US women should sue the EPL and the men's World Cup organizers too.

                        It's just not fair!

Forget for a moment our product is atrocious but overlook that pay us the same as world class men.

                        Good luck with that.

The women will win a substantial settlement before this goes to court. The USWNT is more profitable than the USMNT. They should get paid more but they get paid less.

The USMNT is awful to watch. Pitiful soccer and bad personalities.

The paying sporting person couldn't be paid to watch womens soccer..Unless its the World Cup or Olympics if they are winning and advancing..Womens soccer gets an audience kinda like Curling at world events held ever 4 years. Nobody even knows or cares about the sport after the event ends. Title IX threw monies at the females wonder if men are going to sue for thos disparity..doubtful.
                              Sad but true.

More people watch the WNT games than men. Except the World Cup.
