Wow. Look at that. Clubs creating a local league to play each other. Who woulda thunk it.

        How about this.

        CFC NPL
        FSA NPL
        OW NPL
        CT Rush Elite
        Yankee United
        NYSC

What options does OW have. They are locked out of ECNL. NE GDA is turning into a sh*t show. If OW starts losing more players then what? Then they become even less competitive in a division that's not competitive and it goes into a death spiral.

Bunch of fools. Soccer is turning into a ”death spiral”. It’s called soccer. It’s a game. There’s no death spiral with any bad, good, extraordinary league. Get over it losers. This dumb topic will never be solved, especially on TS.

Why stop there? How about all the clubs get into same league and have promotion/relegation. Makes perfect sense to me!!!

That possibility has long since passed. We'll never see it again. Too much money to be made, too many organizations wanting power and control (starting with USSF).

Completely disagree. Money is what will push these clubs together. The EDP and CCSL leagues will continue to raise prices. At some point the clubs will put their egos to the side and come together because of money. Every club wants good competition and they would much prefer to find it closer to home. No one enjoys trips to Long Island, MA and NJ on the weekend. I predict clubs move to forming their own league in next 2-3 years and regulate and control it without EDP or NYCSL reaping the profits.

                        It's already happening.

Are you arguing that this new league is a money saver for the familes participating? That seems highly suspect Let's hear some facts for that claim.

not the poster, but if this (or another) is a decent league that had decent clubs and didn't require traveling all over to get decent games, there's a market for that. CCSL has been trying to make that happen here and it's working well with the younger teams. But it's tough with the older age groups (fewer clubs and the "top" ones are in ECNL, NPL, DA or EDP). Ithink some of the teams doing all that tri-state driving wouldn't if they could find better in state competition.

That’s the way it was about 10 years ago
Then all the alphabet leagues took over and now you have to drive to new Hampshire for a game
