They have nothing “going on” with FSA and they’re not “hooking up” with any of the local clubs. They’re simply using local clubs facilities since they don’t have their own right now. Training time at FSA, tryouts at Oakwood and also at Sportsworld. PS - if you want to tryout for the team it costs you $90!

Why aren’t they training at OW?

            Probably a space availability issue?

Duh! However with DA you travel that distance for only one game instead of two. Try to keep up.

OW barely has enough room for their own teams, multiple teams bunched to a field. While I'm not a fan of FSA they do have a great facility and far more fields.

Not sure if the end is near, but over the last five days several things have happened.

                        1) MLS potentially leaving DA
                        2) EDP getting the okay from US soccer to have DA clubs participate in their showcases/tournaments
                        3) Announcement that Minnesota Thunder Academy is leaving BDA for ECNL

Thunder only had the older two teams, both bottom of the table. ECNL is better for them.

MLS clubs leaving wouldn't mean instant death but a possible mortal wounding. the other issue is GDA is a mess. USSF is stretched thin trying to salvage multiple projects at once.

ECNL is probably better for about 90% of the DA teams in your world isnt it .... to sum up your sentiment, GDA stinks and is rife with bad teams (far more bad teams than good).

Well, that is true about GDA, especially around here Empire? SCU? Alby? BDA has more quality clubs but not all should be in it either USSF has booted a few clubs over the years or demoted them (take away a few teams). That is what should happen to keep quality up to snuff. Sounds like the MN team self-selected out. GDA can'a afford to boot teams and when several clubs bailed out last year they were replaced with lower quality clubs.

                              - not the op

MN club left on their own. Girls have done well in the ECNL and now they have both clubs in the same league. Other clubs soon to follow. The GDA was finished last year. The buzzards are now circling around the BDA. It was always going to end this way. USSF were the only ones that didn’t realize it.
