Westside Timbers pre academy is just a money grab and has nothing to do with ECNL. The only chance Westside Timbers has at getting into ECNL is if FC Portland gets kicked out and even then there are a number of clubs who would be ahead of them.

Do you live in a cave? All club soccer has folded, nearly a month ago across the nation and globe. Even the Elite DA is shutdown.

Useless tarmac travel kiddo leagues have folded as well.

      Cleansing the mentally sick parents.

I think this will be officially announced in the next few weeks. Thorns obviously already knew and their attempt to do “pre academy” teams is either a need for money or an attempt to qualify for ecnl or both.
I don’t understand anyone’s hatred for any specific league or club. Your children can pick the one they want to play in. It doesn’t even have to be the same one. No one is forcing anything and the leagues are sufficiently watered down that a half way decent player can make a team in any of the leagues if they really want. Pick the one they want and enjoy. Hating the leagues they don’t pick is silly and a waste of time.

            Who said anything about Westside?

Thorns run the academy, WT provides fields and office support. Cony helps out. Other than that, separate coaching staffs, separate books, separate everything.

Though it does make Peregrine look bad that they would outsource any part of their youth club to a nonprofit, especially since they don't do that for the boys side.

Westside Timbers run the Thorns academy.

Westside a non profit is running a program for a for profit.

Where do the Thorns Academy train ? Please don't say the Thorns train on public funded fields called the THPRC properties through Westside Timbers. So many questions.

They train on THPRD fields taking advantage of Westside Timbers affiliation.

                        DA not gone

The DA will be what it should have been since the beginning. MLS boys teams only.

In Oregon it was not well rolled out so they didn't get good players. There were girls that didn't make their HS team. So ending the program seems legit to me.

Social distancing and sports are not compatible. We won’t see rec sports until 2021.
