The point is that we don't know how many people might die if this is left unchecked. You need to understand exponential growth where the possibility exists for the # of cases to double every week. You are talking about something that has only impacted us for 2 months. Stop acting like this is a conspiracy or a complete hyping of the media. People need to at least take it seriously and do their part to minimize the spread. That's all wee can do right now, as there is no cure or treatment.

There will also be an overflow effect if people can't get adequate healthcare for other issues if the system is inundated with COVID-19.

Probably lower since many people who have the symptoms of covid19 are not being tested and just sweating it out till the virus passes.

In closing we should always be careful 24/7 should we not? do we need to change around our whole lives for this? NO.

If you are sick, stay the fk home till you are better and certainly stay away from the elderly and people with weak immune systems. If you are elderly and or have a weak immune system stay away from others. (especially since this is still flu season yes?).

I agree it may be much lower as there is likely so much undiagnosed right now. But segment that to the elderly and immuno-suppressed and it is significantly higher. What % of those will require hospitalization and what % will need to be in the ICU?

People don't need to panic. But there are people that act like it should be business as usual. Find the right balance and increase awareness of how to slow it down.
