Close to accurate I'd say. EFC isn't known for cutting edge soccer. Typical boot ball club. OP did credit it having a few good coaches. Even though they have over a thousand players, the college commits are miniscule compared to the other three clubs. Don't get me wrong, if Eastside had a coach who I thought was a perfect match for my child, better than other options, I'd be there.

We were at Eastside playing ecnl and left half way through the season. Actually really liked the coach but after enduring a summer where half the team was on vacation from june to a few days before highschool soccer in August and only able to play in 1 tournament with a bunch of mixed players and then only getting maybe 9 kids a night to show up for training after the highschool season we realized the club and the parents werent taking the ecnl very seriously. We had better commitment from parents and players when we played in the rcl at a different club. We were fortunate to get picked up by another ecnl team right before the season started.

Right. Need to post why Reign is dying with U14 losing many games 8-9 GA 0 GF. U15 are not doing that much better. You can see the dilution at the younger ages. This is across all 5 ECNL and 1 GDA clubs in WA. Sad thing is that the Reign parents think that they can just come into an ECNL club and be the star player. I haven't seen it, yet. Got sold on the wrong ideas. It is all about speed, size, strength, aggression, tactical and technical skills, not some badge promising the speed of play and meaningful games. How meaningful is it when it is 9 GA GF0?

Btw, it is all bootball to the fast forward. Even in college. So be big, fast, and strong if you wanna go far.

Oh man, you don't wanna go there. The parents on here with short slow kids lose their freakin minds when you mention this! Extreme Napoleon complex exists on the forum.

To name just a few: Mia Hamm, Kelly O’Hara, Sophia Smith, Catarina Macario, Briana Pinto, are only 5’5”. Marta, Amy Rodriguez, Rose Lavelle, Mal Pugh, Ashley Sanchez, etc. are all only 5’4”. Crystal Dunn and some others are way down at about 5’. They are fast and skilled and strong but big and tall aren’t nearly as common as average height women. I’ll give you there are definitely more 5’8 and above players than 5’3 and below but average height with skills & speed win the day.

Stop being butt heart that dd was cut. How many different teams have you moved her to? Stop dragging reign through the mud. It’s a kids soccer club, let them be. If you are so high, mighty, and all knowing, put you and your daughters name in your post. Otherwise STFU.

I think there's more than one person trashing Reign here, unfortunately. If you don't like the club, don't send your daughter there. Easy.

OL Reign offers a lot and promotes a solid environment. What it doesn’t do is develop their players. They would rather bring in talent and demote or discard players. The price kids pay for an organization that measures success by wins and scholarships over developing their own people and players. They break the spirit of players

For the girls go to PacNW. Good players and they really help you find the right college program for your kid. They place kids into college from all levels of teams.

The players get coached by all different types of coaches. Plus many of them are women!

+1 to this. Also the only club with female leadership.

Reign has a female executive director and female technical director. Could use some more female coaches though.
