The men sponsorship dollars are weak because they simply are not very good. They lose a lot.
The women are extremely marketable because they attractive people with interesting personalities and they win a lot. They fill stadiums.

But again, earnings are only part of the story. The men are asked to do a lot more to earn that money and do so without any of the financial protections given to the women and the women's pro-league. It's a much riskier prospect for the men to participate in the USMNT program and it's more grinding on their bodies. So when the men participate they compensated for that greater risk.

There is a very easy solution to this. Create one plan on how to compensate players. However the Women dont want the plan the Men are on. They want more. They want all the benefits they currently receive plus the same money. That is not equal. And of course the Men hope they get it, so they can demand the same planas the Women.

Facts are since 2016 Women have made more Money for US Soccer then our Men's team. For some reason this is unbearable for guy soccer types.
Problem is in USA that men and boys soccer players have felt under appreciated since grade school. This is when they wouldn't get picked for Football or Basketball games in school yard and started to play soccer. Now they have to take a back seat to WOMEN!!!... Oh the disappointment.. Kinda feel sorry for the little fellas that they can't share in the joy of watching our ladies compete and win at the highest levels.

Nobody who fully comprehends the way both get paid today is arguing the women have gotten screwed.

We should probably be investing even more in the men's side than we are currently if we're looking at it through a capitalist lens.

They should both eat what they kill. The men will be eating grubs and berries and the women get steak.

Having every player on the USWNT playing domestically year round is a large factor in why the US women's team returned to dominance after a lull they experienced a decade ago. But propping up the NWSL costs the USSF a lot of money. So if the women want to be treated just like the men, then they should be prepared to have the NWSL fold and to be forced to move to Europe outside of the short periods that are the Olympic and World-Cup runs. And be prepared to lose the dominant depth that has allowed the USWNT to steamroll other teams no matter what players are injured or otherwise unavailable.

Many players that would have otherwise been on the USWNT chose to quit soccer, or to make it a part-time pursuit, because they were not willing to move out of the country to be able to play soccer full time.

Split into two separate companies. Mens NT and Womens NT. Then it is pretty clear how much each is making and where the money is going to. That would solve the first part of this problem. Gives each party a clear pictures of profitability so they can negotiate from there.
I suspect the men would not like that because most sponsors would pile on to the WNT. They are super successful, attractive and have marketable personalities for the most part.
