Actually I don't even think it's so much the liberal politics but that the clubs are organized in such a stupid way here. I have no idea who came up with this club structure but it's a huge PITA. Anyone who has lived elsewhere and had kids in soccer knows what I mean. The clubs here are screwed up so it's no wonder we have the OPL and OYSA issues.

They must not be going well and have this idea that if they do not rent any turf facilities or places that have lights to play games on or practice they will save money . Pretty sad if you look at the premiere fall schedule for boy's and girl's and where they play at . I can now see why people are moving to other club's, no communication to parents in which derection this club is heading it's like it some big secert.

Apparently they are so far down the priority order for turf time at Delta that they have to rent time from PCU, who are at the top of the list. Of course, they're paying a lot more per hour than they would have if they hadn't bailed on the Delta Turf project and blown their wad storing rolls of turf in the Harmony parking lot...

Is W-T-F-c still "a few bricks shy of a full load"?

They don't even have a wheelbarrow to carry them in, or anyone who can steer the thing...

There's only two of them... why all the fuss about a wheelbarrow??

Why does WT_FC put girls teams in NWCL anyway? Just to prop up the bottom of the tables?

Or in the mud puddles beside the shooting range, aka Harmony...

Couldn't you say the same about Oregon teams in whole? Looking at the brackets 1 maybe 2 can/will move on to the semis combined in all age groups.

Bit of a difference between say 3rd in group and 7th or 8th. Honestly, from the outside, it looks like WT_FC is intentionally becoming a boys-only club...

Agree. Save for a couple OR teams, Oregon can't compete on the level of Washington's higher teams, much less northern or southern CA high level teams. Every once in awhile we get a good win or tie out of state but for the most part, our best teams would be B teams at most at the better Wash or Ca clubs. I don't think my kids' club teams that have made regionals have ever even made it out of group, much less competed for a national championship. That said, my kids love soccer & feel proud about how they do in Oregon at least. If we had only one elite team (be it ecnl or Thorns academy) at each age group maybe that team could compete but, alas, we have three...
