**USA ruining MLS all by themselves. (making league a refuge for old players)

US ruining MLS by making the league a refuge for OLD players, and stealing opportunities away from younger players. Not only are older players taking away roster spots there demanding and getting bigger salaries. Aren't we going down the old path?

    What say you?

They're hoping that some recognized names will bring in more fans. Hard to draw crowds with no name 19byear olds. It's a business decision

By bringing in big names that are old and past their prime all there doing is alienating their fan base. Chasing a couple of older names is understandable, but can you see they are getting carried away with it now. The word is out, you want one more BIG payday come to MLS. Hell you don't even have to work hard for it, just sign a few shirts and show your old you tube clips and draw wages. The foreign players won't care when the league is defunct, they'll just become TRAINERS or open a SOCCER ACADEMY...

Same question as to why do we insist on having english/British coaches try to teach our children the game of futbol? Their own country hasn't done squad since '66....there are suckers born everyday

Fifa picked the teams that were invited to the tourney. England won the first and last world cup when most of the world was not invited or boycotting the tourney. In addition Hurst did not score and was awarded a goal that was not a goal. In the end the real hero that year was an dog named pickles who found the stolen world cup trophy.

Looks like the league is doing well and expanding. Atlanta, Minnesota, 2nd LA club & Miami
