JFC super team proves to be super over rated. Goes down 2-1 vs Weston GA team.
Weston has a way more cutting edge attack. The Refs tried to keep the game close. Every borderline call went to JFC including a very questionable incidental hand ball call that led to the only JFC goal on the PK.
I would bet the fouls called were 8 or 9 against Weston vs. none against JFC. Refs were obviously biased.
If Weston had few more of their age eligible players playing for this team instead of playing up a year or two...they would be way better than the ECNL “super team.”

Calm down FESA , we rotated to give even playing time; this was a scrimmage for us, World Cup game for you. We played futbol. Not sure what you all were playing.
Don’t get carried away parents.

Weston is a great team with a lot of talent that plays very correct football. All props to them for the win, they outplayed their opposition.
No excuses, but the JFC team hasn’t played together since November. Most are playing school soccer, some private school kids are playing varsity. 2 of the girls were on their 6th game in 5 days. Playing time was even between 1st string and second, because it a preseason and the whole point is to get prepared for league play.
Poaching is when you persuade otherwise happy players and parents to love teams with promises of bigger and better. It was not necessary to lure those FESA players. They were seeking any option other than the toxicity and constant coaching changes of FESA. Everyone knows that those moves were parent driven, and not the efforts of a a coach or club. They were leaving long before they knew of any coaching changes. Who could blame them for running from that steaming pile.
The Weston parents are very polite and congenial, so this is the usual FESA henchmen and B team butt hurt Dad. There was no way this team was going to have a completely undefeated year, so best to get it out of the way and let them have some rest before tomorrow’s friendly.
Again, congrats to the Weston team on a well deserved victory.

There’s nothing for me to suck it up about. Weston was the better team. Fortunately, the wins and losses of middle school aged soccer teams don’t dictate my mood or outlook on life. I’ve got a nice fire going, watching a little college basketball. I’ll muddle through somehow 😂

BTW...as far as team training or lack there of this time of year is concerned...everyone is in the same boat, so the excuse is a non excuse.
My observation as a neutral was that #10 for Weston was significantly better than anyone else on the field.

Bad weekend for all those suckers that scream MLS is the dominant league in the state! Looks like the ECNL teams are holding strong, most are winning....................................
