As to compared to where we are today? We have alienated most of NATO, pulled out of treaties that have worked and stopped foreign aide that keeps countries stable. I have voted for Republicans my whole life and believe in small government, but Trump has done nothing inherently conservative his entire term. The county is a mess and more divided since anytime since the 60s.

Nothing that smells like tuna will ever run the White House!

Stop it. NATO took advantage of us for too long now. ated because we asked them to pay for their far share? Of course they worked for them. I’m glad we stopped giving so much money to some of these countries. Enough with being taking to the cleaners for what? The country was more divided since the sixties because a radical took us far left and the country had enough. Do I wish it wasn’t Biden vs Trump. Of course. The left is going to do what every they can to convince people like you this is trumps fault.

“People like me”. Ok enlightened one, tell me what you envision someone like me being like? Why you would assume me to be so naive I would let a political party I don’t align with, mostly for economic reasons, form my opinions for me?

This country was divided before Trump became president thanks to Obama. How did Trump win? He won over the parts of the country that were tired of being told what their moral compass should be or that if they didn't agree with the left they must be racist. He won because middle America was tired of the same old song and dance of the elitist liberals. Like the people "protesting" right now have made this about politics. All these cities, or most of them, have elected officials who are Democrats and have been for years. These elected officials have the power to make changes and create policy that is "just and fair". Don't tell me they don't, since we live in a State that our Governor is pretty much doing whatever he wants to do right now so if he wanted to "fix the system" he could. You want to create change, stop electing the same party over and over because they make promises they never intend to keep. Hold your local politicians accountable. The role of the Federal Government is not to run the States. Cuomo, Murphy, Wolf, etc. all made that clear when it came to the virus. It is up to these cities to monitor thier police, train them, evaluate them, fire them if they have 18 accusations against them. Democratic leaders have become like children, they don't want to be told what to do (coronavirus) but want their parents (Federal government) to bail them out when they make bad decisions (like bankrupting their state or creating universal policing policies) I have voted Democrat or Independent my whole life but watching this all play out has made me realize why Trump won and that there is a good chance he might win again.

For the record I think Trump is a horrible leader especially in times like these but until the other side does a little bit of self reflection things aren't going to change. I didn't vote for him and I never would but it is time for people to realize that the reason things don't change in these big cities is because the voters don't force a change.

Sure. I believe you. "I think Trump is a horrible leader ... but ..."

I wish at least you can be honest about your support for Trump.

A person that is following the liberal talking points without doing real research maybe? Your posting utter nonsense.

Exactly. Regurgitate GOP talking points verbatim, but I don’t like Trump. See it all over all of a sudden, the must have sent a memo on how to try and influence people.

Trumps a vile guy. He lost the popular vote by a ton, but threaded the needle and won the electoral college by winning a few states by tiny margins. It’s possible to do it again, but it’s like drawing an inside straight two hands in a row. This time he also doesn’t have one of the least liked people in America to run against.
