Which teams clubs and towns are practicing?

Now that we have the go ahead from the Governor we can stop practicing in secret. Which clubs and towns are going to start practices next week? I want to know partly because we are looking for a club soccer team and want to go to the club that creates opportunities for kids to play now not promising later. I’m not signing a contract with a club if they aren’t even practicing when we are now allowed. Which club and towns are most competitive and passionate?

I posted this in RI first because we currently live there but we might move out of Providence into a town in MA. Unsure... MA might start practicing a week or two later.

    Crickets...

If your club isn’t serious about getting back on the pitch ASAP you seriously should leave that club.

So you know clubs can’t hold in person practices of any kind till hopefully June 15 right?
Some clubs may call it a year and start to have tryouts around that time. Even if they did have practices your going to be limited to what you can do.
That’s not even taking into account towns willing to rent fields to clubs.

Pfft. If you're not willing to break the law a little to play sports you're not passionate enough. I mean, what else is that important?

Well people have been practicing all along so... anyway. But this is a RI resident looking to move to MA. RI has the official go ahead to practice on Monday but not all of the clubs are jumping on to the pitch. MA can start up in Phase 2 as well, whenever that begins, June 15? But the question is, which clubs and towns will actually get back out there right away and give the kids something? Missing out on spring soccer then summer is going to make for some out of shape kids and soccer teams that get back out there first will be the best. Which club will that be?

Ummm, follow the laws and safety guidelines set forth by the state and local governments. Following the risk management guidelines set forth by insurance carriers to avoid unnecessary risks which will not be covered by insurance likely puts the board, club and coaches personally liable in the event of injuries.

Some kids took advantage of quarantine time to significantly improve their technical skills and become stronger and faster. If you think your kids are going to finally get off their sofas and tik tok and run circles kids who are much faster, stronger and skilled as they never stopped working on their games over the last 12 weeks you are in for a big surprise.

A lot of towns have closed their fields for the summer. Some town rec programs went as far as to cancel programming through the fall. I will be curious to see what the private facilities do (indoor facilities), that is if their local board of health allows them to even open.

Yes everything closed. The entire world closed. And now we are reopening state by state. So um yes the fields can also reopen. Silly lame excuses. If daycares, restaurants, barber shops, casinos and churches can reopen, so can fields. Not too complicated.

My kid could eat donuts in bed for 12 weeks and still keep their spot.

Then she’s not a high level player. Those kids train hard on their own whether their team is training together or not.
