But other than that, you’ve got a good narrower minded head on your shoulders kid
What does that have to do with anything?

The OP, presumably you, said "SSS could not beat Scorpions or CFC at any ECNL age...CFC and Scorpions ECNL teams would beat SSS."

Someone gave an example at one ECNL age. Crying about it won't change things.

There were several cases of the NEFC second team beating ECNL regional teams and tying ECNL first teams as recently as this past T-giving.

You mean exactly like the new DPL? Renamed NPL with a new badge and a few new teams added (Best FC, Seacoast Maine, etc)

It was always very clear that ECNLR was just a renaming of NE Npl. If you really look at it, it made complete sense. ECNL was already scheduling games/travel for ECNL teams. Why pay fees to NPL to do something that they are already doing anyway with the exact same clubs?

Now wouldn't the following made sense. ECNL accepts all of the Girls DA teams into the league. Doing that, you could of had a New England only division. ECNL could crow about outlasting the DA and creating a platform for elite talent nationwide with travel reduced. It's no secret that certain clubs would not participate in tournaments against teams from the other league (DA vs. ECNL matchups).

                        25. NEFC - GAL

Read any of the national boards. The remaining GA clubs (Top Hat, Lonestar, etc.) are bleeding players (and in some cases whole teams) to ECNL, which is starting a chain reaction of knocking weaker ECNL players down to ECNL regional league.

ECNL regional league was in its first year last year. There will be a massive nationwide expansion this year. All the ECNL clubs B teams, plus GA clubs trying to get into ECNL (FC Virginia, Sporting Blue Valley) will bolster the league. If ECNL can deliver the same showcase format for the regional league like it does with ECNL, in 18 months 90% of the top end talent will be in ECNL & ECNL regional league. That is the plan and they have the business savvy to execute it.

The GAL is ambitious but if you actually look at the club map, the travel is not sustainable in over half its conferences. SE, Midwest, Frontier & NW will require plane travel for league games. IF USSF couldn't take down ECNL (and make no mistake, that's what it tried to do), good luck to GAL. If ECNL ever actually viewed GAL as a threat it would just grab 8-10 key clubs and the league would collapse. The fact it hasn't speaks volumes.

DPL is teams who should be playing in the NEP.
This might be the most sensible post on the thread. NEFC certainly bleeding players to ECNL!

SSS 04 DA tied Stars 03 ECNL this year. Don't act like they can't compete. Would love to see them get a crack at Stars and Scorps on a regular basis.

Therefore you have SSS and NEFC’s second teams beating ECNL teams at local and national tournaments. MA GA and NPL teams are strong compared to weaker ECNL teams because those in charge refuse to offer additional ECNL and ECNL-r teams in MA/RI.
^^^^this is the truth. Compound the fact that many kids get looked over or cut by the ecnl clubs that have growth later in age. Ie a later a November birth year kid. The biggest difference is the depth of the roster and the high end 2-3 players of the ecnl teams. People that can’t see this are just ignorant and put wayyyy to much stock in what they perceive to be a high level of play.

Take a breath. Many parents are not interested driving to scorpions or stars if they live in the Places like western MA or cape cod. You do realize this correct? What if your kid was a strong player and just need an opportunity, but the stars/coach stuck with a known commodity on there existing teams. Do you recommend they quit soccer?
