Played edp conference last year against New York and nj teams. They are just adding a New England conference division. Scp doesn’t play conference. They play down in New England regional. Oakwood and yankee are the new teams. Yankee and oakwood b played the mass NPL league last year which is the NEP. That league is falling apart. So for now edp has pretty much killed the npl and state leagues and became the best place to play after Ecnl. And who knows where gal will fit in.

But npl and ccsl are pretty much useless now. And edp is becoming very competitive. At least until someone invents a new league and steals whatever teams they can.
You're right, just saw this on another post:

I think the YU U13 team has 7 players.

That's what tryouts are for. Lots of travel player parents with checkbooks who don't mind coaches screaming at their kids.

CFC North did not play EDP. They played NEP last year and are joining EDP next year as one of the newly announced teams.

Speaking only on the boys side - CFC North dipped their toe in the EDP pool last year. North boy's stayed in NEP-NPL in the lower ranks and CFC North Wolves played in EDP against Sporting, Hartford FC, a Rush team, MA Blazers, NE United, AJAX and a few others. Local to CT no travel - but quality / competition on all sides was inconsistent. NEP took a blow with its big anchor team GPS closing shop and CFC sliding to EDP. Quality of the remaining NEP B level teams in MA is still light years ahead of all CT teams except top CFC ECNL United boys, FSA ENCL boys, and the high level regional Rush team.

Valley is an absolute joke. What metric are you using to evaluate skill? These boys have no understanding of the game - kick it long, boot and chase is not quality soccer
