College Men’s soccer is for fun, and only those that play care about it. Other than that, it’s a dead end. It’s low on the priority list for most colleges.

College soccer will certainly take a hit. What are the chances the NWSL survives this?

NYT ran a piece recently about Covid sucking some of the momentum out of the women's game. Not having the Olympics this summer will hurt the WNT and USSF's budget. Some MLS clubs are really squeezed with the closure so imagine how NWSL clubs are sweating.

This pandemic has highlighted that sports are a fun, recreational activity but are way down on the list of importance. Perhaps if our youth and all of us spent as much time and money studying and on science as on sports, we’d already have a vaccine for corona viruses, have solutions to global warming and maybe even a cure for cancer. Just imagine a world where scientific advancement for the betterment of mankind came before games of sport... Maybe this is a wake up call.
