EDP is going to partner with US Youth Soccer leaving US club soccer. EDP was the go-to league for these clubs other than their DA and ECNL teams. This new league aligns itself with US club soccer. I know the tops at PDA have strong ties with US Club Soccer.
Sure these clubs will stay boys DA / ECNL for their top teams but PDA already left girls DA and think they are just ensuring they aligning themselves with US club soccer. As DA boys continue splinter deeper with the growing or a two or three-teir DA league system and girls DA struggle.
EDP is kind going rogue with this US youth soccer thing sure a lot clubs are nervous but I am sure the deal is sweet for EDP and works out they could even see more $$$$$$$.
It's very sad all the chaos. Hopeful better system will come out all this change and this not just chasing $$$$$$$ (I am not referring to this league but all the changes in the last 5 years have been crazy. )
The issue for the ECNL clubs is that they mandate that clubs also field NPL teams and those teams here play in the Northeast NPL
This thing is for non ECNL clubs and C teams from the ECNL clubs.
Largely seems like a non event in CT. Perhaps it works for clubs like Rush or OW NPL squads
Youth soccer is ridiculous with all of this nonsense
I think relevant the CT clubs like Beachside and FSA that have historically aligned them with EDP, and now may be on the wrong side of the fence. EDP has been the go-to league for top competition for nonDA teams on the boy's side.
None of the clubs in ECNL or DA will have anything but their C, D, E, and F teams in that league. Please people, be real ... it will be for the top teams PRE-XXXX and for their sloppy leftovers thereafter .... like CJSA/CCSL for CFC Branch and FSA state teams.
