That’s not saying much, 98% of HS players are rec level.

Jesuit would destroy the Thorns. 10-0.

Look, elite players don't have to give up anything. If you are a B team or bench player you might have to make some sacrifices.

Westside runs Thorns Academy now, using local coaches that were at FC, Eastside, BSC, etc. in the past.

Neither a good nor bad thing, but the "Thorns" association with NWSL team lessens every year.

That is not entirely a bad thing - some of the NWSL franchises are barely hanging on (Thorns an exception).

But spare us the whole "pro affiliation" - just another local club with a pro team on their jersey. Should be judged by its end product, not which pro team it has on its jersey.

Yes, the other 2% would be Jesuit , the untouchables in girl’s high school soccer. Other can’t muster a single goal. How bad is high school soccer?

The playing time guarantee just might be the trick.

NWSL Thorns & MLS Timbers DA are not part of US Club or USYS, also they aren't a non-profit 501c3 community club.

Two paths for our community players:

                Local Club or

                Pro Team DA

If my kid had the chance of course we would choose the Pro team DA based on coaching, level of Opponents, as a boy it's all paid for, for a girl all travel is covered not to mention the direct linkage to the US Youth National teams, Pro club training & of course the constant presence of US Soccer Staff coaches and it's the top tier for youth in this Nation.
it looks like the numbers were based on Girls, OYSA, GDA and ECNL. Don't you know this is all about girls soccer, ha ha ha. I agree the boys DA is the best option.

Reality break, why would you attempt to argue the MLS Timbers & NWSL Thorns are not professional Soccer clubs playing in the highest league this country offers. The same is documented for their DA program branch.

Everytime you post: the pure unfiltered ignorance and denial is simply palatable to the readers.

Please don't spare us, the departure from reality is simply awesome! Go Get it!

So are thorns a westside team or eastside? I saw a huge thorns banner at eastside.

Either way I suppose it is better than nothing.

If they allowed high school they would probably get better players. Just saying.

Westside Timbers are running the Thorns and Eastside changed their name to the Thorns too so it can appear a little confusing.

US Soccer calls the shots as the governing body for the country.

The MLS & NWSL Pro teams that have in house US Soccer Development Academies are only following the directives of US Soccer.

With your wisdom and insight on display here maybe you should reach out to US Soccer with your feeling?

On the forum it's become just yet another childish & sophomoric retort without any traction.

I trust the eastside timbers a lot more than I trust US Soccer. They have not done well with the boys/men's soccer. Hopefully they back off the girls/women's side. It would be sad to miss the world cup like the men.

Wrong! Parents and elite kids call the shots.

That is good because neither really have had much in the way of girls high school teams lately so that is something.
