    Not a problem if you are a smart kid. Unfortunately mine are just average students who probably wouldn't get into any of these schools, but if they could, MIT would be first choice.

        What kind of numbers do you need to get into MIT? How much does coach's support help? Does the coach have "tips" like NESCAC? Anyone have info on how it works at MIT?

          Once you get in, can you stay in? The academic pressure is said to be immense. Can't be a marketing major at MIT.

              They are studying to be a gym teacher.
              Springfield has turned out a lot of teachers of all types over the years. They also have specialities in physical training and physical therapy and state of the art facilities to support those majors.

                I spoke with the MIT coach a couple of years ago; I was curious just as you are although my kid already had plans. He was watching a player from NY in a region 1 game at Lancater. He told me that if you have 800s in your math SATs then contact him and he'll come watch you play otherwise don't bother. That answer most of your questions albeit indirectly I think.

                        My daughter only got 790 on her math SAT1, but got 800 on her math SAT2. she is taking ap calculus (bc) and ap physics. Does she have a shot?
