If the Timbers have enough institutional heft to keep rival clubs and hostile coaching directors from trying to shank each other in the back room, then #rctid.
But describing the Timbers relationship with OYSA as akin to a sexual assault is patently absurd.

There have been far too many schisms and competing leagues and fracturing of the game in Oregon over the years, as soccer has grown from a niche sport, and far too many egos. The reason the Timbers were able to get their foot in the door in the first place is one such schism, that left OYSA badly weakened, and many of the parties who now whine about Peregrine's involvement seem to be those who bolted in the first place. You reap what you sow, and all that.

I do agree with you in many ways. But one thing that most people don't know is that there are huge profits made running the leagues. Hundreds of thousands of dollars per year of net profit. The promise of the OPL was that they were going to give that money back to kids and families through development opportunities and clinics and coaching education. That was a mixed bag ended with them giving clubs free league fees at the end which amounted to huge infusions of cash.
What are the Timbers doing with those massive profits? Why did they increase the league fees this year?

Timbers have done nothing to prevent hostile DOCs from shanking each other - the return to OYSA was but 1 such move in a long line (that continues today).

The only rival coach still with an AXE to grind with our collection of DOC's tools is the ole (ESU DOC) GW.

For everyone except the one guy on here.

Honestly, not many folks watch the MLS championship - stadium will sellout, but ratings are generally abysmal and aren't trending the right way.

Yep. Just one weird guy on here that gets excited for CONCACAF and US open games.
Mls teams always rest their starters for those games and the B team players usually get some action.
