PAC 12 Coaches Poll 2016 Season

Where do you think Oregon colleges fall?

    2016 Pac-12 Women’s Soccer Coaches Poll

    1. Stanford (6) 116
    2. USC (4) 112
    3. California 96
    4. UCLA (2) 94
    5. Arizona 70
    6. Washington 68
    7. Washington State 65
    8. Arizona State 36
    9. Utah 35
    10. Colorado 31
    11. Oregon State 28
    12. Oregon 20

I am hoping that Oregon State and Oregon surprise the coaches with a much better performance than what is predicted here.

Wow that strongly correlates with school per population, with Arizona being slightly above average and Colorado slightly below.

Since they are not limited by geography it shouldn't.

What the heck does that have to do with anything? Their roster is built off an equal number of scholarships and they recruit from all over the nation

Looking at the OSU and UO rosters, they have a lot of local talent. Might be why they are at the bottom. Just like they finished last season.

Local colleges should take some local girls even if it means they won't be able to compete. Our state is simply short on top quality players.

except they don't recruit from all over the nation. they SHOULD but they don't even put much effort into scouting their own state. or their own region (nw).

Utter BS. You clearly haven't any clue as to where and why the coaches go to recruit. Is it that your DD hasn't been recruited by anybody, ever ?

Probably the least informative and substantiated poll ever. Just how long have the teams been practicing? How does any coach know what the actual composition of the teams might be? Look at the end of season results and compare. There will be vast changes in the order.

No different than all the other rating polls. They take into account how many returning key players there are as well as previous results. I assume that the previous results hurt Oregon soccer programs.

Define "a lot". Oregon has 2 both are seniors and one is always injured. Don't think that is the problem but wouldn't be surprised if a change in coaching staff would make a difference.

In all likelihood this is their last year. Feel for any local girls who have committed there as they will have a coaching staff that didn't recruit them.

It isn't necessarily a problem but they already have a pretty big roster. Last year 5 girls left with 2 of them being local.
