    Rate of Concussions

But 1 study, but interesting in a couple of respects: http://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/more...cid=spartandhp

Girls nearly 2x rates of concussions than boys.
Football has much higher rates than any other sport, followed by ice hockey, both of which are primarily boys's sports.
Boys' soccer player rates of concussions were relatively low compared to other sports. Girls soccer rates were much higher than boys soccer, but still much lower than football and lower than hockey.

I believe that it's a cultural issue. Boys are taught to "tough it out" so their concussions are reported less than the girls.... Fix that issue and the numbers will change drastically.
