How did you like the trip to Worcester? Beating a college team is impressive

Exactly, state should be an open competition. Winners of every division get an automatic bid. That's what, 11 teams. Then you allow the next best say 21 for a total of 32. That's it. 32 best regardless of size. Some divisions get multiple automatic qualifiers. Ie FCIAC should get automatic bid for semi finals of FCIAC tournament and/or maybe the regular season sub division winners (north, south, etc.) That would allow teams that choke on a bone like staples to get an automatic bid.

CCC would get multiple, as would SWC, etc.

Morgan wouldn't see the light of day unless they won the division.

Saves a lot of money on buses, refs, etc. Cuts down the number of games, so there could actually be three man crews at all games. Saves some of these kids from the abuse of an extended season and solves the question on who really is the best in the state. Oh, and you wouldn't get any garbage games won by double digits and a bunch of byes for CCC teams

All states have different competitions for different size schools. This is totally appropriate.

The should do away with two things though. The "rankings" do not mean anything. The tech schools should have their own state division or just have their own state tournament.

I dont think people from shoreline conference think they compare in quality to FCIAC teams. But they do want to know how they really stack up against similar size schools across the state.

Maybe have the four winners of each class play after they won their division ..... LL vs S and then L vs M and then winners play

Oyyyyyy vey! So this parent wants to cut the total amount of state tournament teams from ~100 to 32. Let the kids play!

Probably the same parent complaining about playing time.

                        Isn't that ironic...dontcha think?!?

They played plenty of games. No complaints. Cream rises to the top. Flush the turds. Most states have a simple model. Look at ny. Win your section, go to states. Lose the section....try again next year
