The real issue is the DA rules. Girls can't play HS soccer, or any other sports outside of the DA. Girls can't guest play on other teams. No tournaments. No state cups. Very limited substitutions - once you come out of the game, your game is over. Great for the starting 11, but not so much for the rest.Originally posted by Unregistered View Post

Also, with the subbing, the GDA, if it ever becomes a thing, will have starting rules similar to the boy's DA. In the boy's DA, every player must start 25% of the games. Those players that don't start often might get the first 20 minutes and then get subbed out. Their only prayer of getting accepted into the DA is if no one else applies. That stellar OYSA and Far west record and beefing up their resume playing on age in Beaverton cup will do them no good if there's a large number of applicants to DA.
