The only win was from a select club in the Couv.

Nobody cares about boys soccer. It's girls soccer where all the controversy is in Oregon.

Pretty sad. I can understand now why some teams decided to stay home. Better to save the $2000 per head travel and play in Beaverton Cup with the Thorns Academy instead.

When you perform on the field and win a championship at the state level you earn the right to compete at the next level, Regionals in this case. This is your responsibility to represent the state and community. You know the progression.

But, when you have proven nothing on the field of play and make elective choices to travel and play it's a personal choice that is subject to ridicule if your team can't compete. Eventually, it ends and the kids move on to being mothers, fathers, working folk who scratch their head at why the were subject to this kind of embarrassment on the field all over the country. Because my parents could afford me the opportunity to suffer. Thanks.

The only person ridiculing these girls is you and other small minded trolls on here. Its Presidents Cup. None of these teams were even playing premier level. Fun chance for them to travel with the team. Nothing wrong with that.

Now teams that are supposed to be ELITE and always lose when they travel, that may fit your logic a bit better. Sound familiar?

Do you even read the posts before retorting?

Here is the line regarding the President's Cup FWR competition:

"When you perform on the field and win a championship at the state level you earn the right to compete at the next level, Regionals in this case. This is your responsibility to represent the state and community. You know the progression."

These kids won the President's cup championship in Oregon..they advanced to Regionals. It's not like they have a choice not to go, they earned the distinction of representing Oregon.

Elective travel by local 'A' teams is a different topic.

You are correct. My bad. Misread your intention. I think we agree this whole thread is stupid.

                      Actually, U12 division was Premier.

Higher altitudes made a big impact on all the WA & OR teams through out the levels. The GU12 had three very good WA (SEA) Premier teams that struggled. In CA tournaments they do not struggle.
