any news on the Ecnl final schedules - its a week away and no schedule..lame
Why is it lame. The know exactly who they play and on what dates. From the beginning ECNL communicated scheduled times would be on Thursday. The draws took place a while, you must be the obnoxious stalker looking at ECNL schedule when it doesn't pertain to you. Very weird

He needs something to distract him from that bootball happening at the Thorns academy practice.

Our travel situation is complex and there is a big difference to us getting in for a 9 am game or a 6 pm game - they announced the brackets a week ago so its amazing that they can't post a schedule..........

Teams have the schedules. If you don't you're DD probably isn't going.
Check out the draws for the three tiers:
Championship, North America, and Showcase.
CU17 made it to Championship. I didn't see anything beyond that.
Portland made it the U17 NA and U15/16 showcase.
Honestly, 72 teams for each age group make it to one of these tiers:32, 16, 16.
How can parents be that blind when you see this?

And even the teams that finished last in the ECNL would still roll OYSA Premier with +100 GD. It's a tough league. But you wouldn't know because your DD plays for Thorns Academy in the Beaverton Cup.

Maybe this team should of signed up for the Beaverton Cup instead?

don't be mad, bro. not all teams from the same club can make it to the finals.
sticky note:
folks, parents from the same club hate each equally fierce as much as we hate others
outside the club. fight club + thunderdome + downton abbey(fake niceness) = club soccer

Curious how many CU players are on the WPSL CU(former Atencio-coached THUSC) Diamonds team? Could this have something to do with schedules and where players are?

I thought the only local WPSL team was coached by the Timbers. Keeping Tom away is the BEST thing that can happen to these girls. Make him pay for his own vacations.
Does 10K include parent travel? It seems like the ECNL parents like to travel with their kids.
That doesn't even cover the players travel. GDA claims there will be (at least) 15 travel games. From Portland, Oregon teams do not travel to play on anything less than $1,000 per trip, once you figure in hotel, meals, airfare, van rentals. There will probably be a couple trips to Seattle that will be less than that, but a trip back East will balance that out.
So the minimum that travel will cost is $15,000. Training fees are estimated to come in closer to $2,000, so the minimum that Thorns Academy will cost will be $17,000.
If you want to travel to the games also, add on whatever you want to spend to that amount.
Even if my DD wanted to try the Thorns Academy I see no way I could afford it, let alone ever get to see one of her away games!
