There are 6 of those 14 2002's on the current U17 roster.
So much for developing THEIR players.

Saw a tweet from NESJ about NE players going to DA outside NE. Anyone have info on that? Who are they and how do you go about getting your kid to a DA outside NE?

Couldn't tell you who. Only a few clubs have any kind of residency program. Do you want to ship your kid off? And since few do, you'd have to consider moving. Is that at all realistic? Obviously stats and game footage are available for another club to watch, as well as at showcase events. You'd have to attend tryouts/evaluations on your own dime and follow USSF rules on changing clubs.

Also Europe is a great option that several of the best Revs players have chosen.

Have to have an passport or wait until you're 18. Going abroad is the best training for anyone but few can do or are even qualified to.

IMG is the place for folks like you. Just say good bye to your kid. More likely just send him to another club around here.

That is why they can't be Bolts, even after taking their players? Nice dev model and evidence of success!

Revs academy model and program is so dysfunctional and unviable. They prey on misguided parents and players just to sustain their MLS mandated requirements. Boston Bolts is a much more realistic model for New England soccer palyers. Their track record is undeniable.

Smart parents recognize this after one season and get out. Others unfortunately, hope things get better and they never do.

Not a legitimate MLS Academy, beware!!

In case you didn't get it, I'm not a fan of the idea. Face it, there aren't many kids in MA good enough for LA Galaxy or Dallas anyway. Parents who think it's a good idea - or even that their kids are good enough - should have their heads examined.

Have fun watching your kid regress this year. Mark this thread and review it a few months from now. Don't say you weren't warned. Hahahahaha!!
