PHU did great. My observation of PHU game was kickball to the one and only player that could run fast and score. Their shot was great and earned. But that was one of the very few shots they had the entire night. Oviedo was on the offense the entire time and what save PHU was their love of boot the ball foward and their goalie. Oviedo had a ton of shots from balls brought up by actual soccer with passing of the ball and changing of the field. PHU had 5 shots; first one they score and the others were all caused by fouls. Other than that; they couldn’t connect passes...just boot it up to their foward...and Oviedo defense learned they end game with the first goal.

I couldn't agree more. Yes they beat PHU, but it was hardly a blow out. Had the phu girls been healthy the game may have played out in a different manner. The refs were not on the visitors good side. Not taking away that Oviedo is a good team, just not great soccer!

That's the Sunrise Sting approach to the State Cup. Kick and chase long ball until you score one fluky goal and then park the bus and start hacking the opposing girls. Don't even try to play real soccer against them or you risk elimination.

BS; the PHU girls were healthy. They couldn't keep up with the speed and intensity of Oviedo...so cocky before and then excuses why you can't finish...the refs were trying to give PHU the game.
