ECNL will be the second tier to GDAP. FC Boston will be playing the NEFC and Stars B teams in ECNL, should be good competition.

ECNL will be the top level for girls who choose to play high school soccer. There will be plenty of good players who go this route. Clubs with GDAP and ECNL will offer the choice.

Can already tell GDAP will be just as "watered down" as ECNL. Only way to avoid that would be to limit a league to 12-16 or at most 24 teams nationally. Wonder how the superfan is going to spin this one.

Totally agree. They're already over 50 clubs with more to come. It will probably end up being the same size as ECNL, with many of the same ECNL clubs. Remind me again why we're doing this? Oh yeah - to fix the national team :)

IMG and Shattuck teams are not competitive at all in a national landscape. Lamoranda, Beach FC and Clay County are not top clubs at all. East side FC in Washington will struggle as well. 3 teams in Seattle is really going to dilute things.
