Lol. If you are good enough to get recruited by WA and given that scholarship money don't you think the target might just be a tad higher than a NESCAC?

Saw this in another thread somewhere, but what is a prep school waiver?
        Thanks.

It's a tool in the Boys DAP where prep school boys can play prep school in the fall and come back to DAP in winter and spring seasons. The theory behind g that they are required to play a sport or on scholarship

The litigator in me thinks that is ripe for a legal challenge.

I would agree. The waiver is applied to impact players who often dont pay full tuition. Either because of their talent or financial situation.

Or a litigator who has never seen the inside of a courtroom.

WA also has close ties to NEFC and Stars and recruits those clubs kids or places their international recruits on NEFC and Stars teams when possible. WA coaches do a great job of marketing their players to college programs, especially on the boys side.
Huh interesting. My D is going into 8th grade and is applying to WA next year. How does the soccer end of things work? (She is our oldest and first one applying to private HS) thanks!

That sound you hear is the opening of a can of worms. Regardless of who actually answers or how they answer, people will claim they are one acronym or another, and the conversation will be completely derailed by childish tirades about "the prep school scam".

you could start by going to the prep school open house at NEFC. Winter I believe. If you play for NEFC that is. Otherwise, start with the school open houses in the fall. Or come watch a game. For any prep school that is..

If she wants to play soccer at WA she or you needs to contact the WA coach and have her come your D play. The coach will let you know where your daughter stands as far as whether she can make the WA varsity or not.

If you are open to other prep schools contact 3-4 prep school coaches and have them come watch your D play. If she is a good player they may start recruiting her and give you some idea of what kind of financial aid their school might offer. It's always a good idea to have more than 1 school interested.

Why is that? Does Landon and Mia Rich Kid deserve any more preferential treatment than Landon and Mia Public School Kid?

If you haven't noticed from your Ivy Tower, the masses are getting pretty upset with the elite.

Nobles will take the title this year they picked up a bunch of ECNL players who as freshman will be better as most seniors in the ISL.
