04 PDA kids really national team players or development over winning catching up?

perhaps difference in philosophy. not to single out anyone local, look at the "forward" from seattle reign (GDA) that made it to the camp:
- plays up
- doesnt have amazing stats
- team is not dominant
- small squad
comparing to a couple of the girls from ecnl teams:
- play same age group
- amazing stats
- team is dominant

No GDA at ICC they would not handle playing brilliant Int’l competition like Barca, Man City etc. PDA played some lovely football but was undone by some poor referreeing and bad timing with quite a few players coming off HS and injuries.

Often a destination club like PDA is a brand. Its all about tactics, team and structure. Do they have some exceptional players? Of course. In my opinion, they dont have more of those than anyone else at any level anymore. Do they stockpile more depth than others? Yes.

Show me all the elite level PDA players who are dominating college soccer?

All games they played are on line, right?

But no one can ever notice the temperature or the humidity or the the time difference. Hopefully when the documentary comes out someone can do a voice over or throw in a graphic.

Their League, their Team, Their rules. If any of those PDA kids (or any ECNL Club) want a better chance to be called up then they will have to go to a DA Club. I am not saying its right or wrong but it the US Soccer's show. Like it or not.

Exactly my point - how many kids will they miss with this ignorant approach. It will ultimately hurt the quality of the national team programs. Clearly National Level kids in ECNL. To just cut them all out is very childish. What an immature reaction to the big clubs all pulling out of the DA.

I have to agree. STA is going to struggle. Their best team was their 05 team which will be DYNOMITE next year. Their 03 team will realize that playing DA didn't get them called back into the National Team call ups and will go back to their ECNL teams next year

Average anyway. Five teams in an elite league. They couldn’t replace the teams begging for out fast enough to maintain a reputable league. And then they had kids on LI cheating because they wanted to play HS.

Hmm. But there are ECNL kids being invited to the U16 camp. There are also PDA kids being invited to other age group WNT camps (including couple from World Class).

Not talking about the score or if they even could win. Only takes one athletic play (and PDA has girls for it) to score. Not sure what games you were watching? Completely out played 3 of the games. It really wasn’t pretty soccer at all. It looked like HS soccer. Maybe MO can make sure they don’t fall behind on developing the individual girls.

When you consider the heat, the humidity, the travel, the refs, just coming back from HS (why do we do this again?), first time playing together for a while, a setup that clearly favored the internationals so they would keep coming back, bad lasagna, flights on Spirit, locusts, and bad wifi at the hotel, the showing was nothing short of monumental.
