Lined up on the bench, unable to play.
The injured knees of the GDA.

And that is not the only league of knee hell.
Seen Just as many in HS and the ECNL.

Must be nice in the country club for the rich,
and the smaller the pond, the bigger your fish.

When ready to compete with the rich and the poor,
come on down after school, maybe room for more.

(maybe not - we will have to see)

The rest of the parents were not very pleased and neither was that coach (who was unaware the kid was going to do that).
^^^ This. It is a good rule that is intended to reduce injury and raise the game. By playing for both high school and GDA, it is the worst of all worlds.

It craps on the remaining soccer venue for teen girls that is available to them regardless of income - school ball. GDA, ECNL, same difference - both take the worlds sport for the masses and turn it into elitist trash.

A dug ditch is a dug ditch. Bigger accomplishment than spouting nonsense on ts

It doesn’t because girls have a choice. They can play high school and either join DA after the season or play in another league or they can decide not to play high school and either play DA or train with their club in the fall. What people have reacted to are those kids who play high school and also play or have played DA in the fall. Some who have done that are great players. Some are not. And now it never actually happened because NEFC has faked the rosters for those games. That to me is worse than breaking the no high school rule in the first place because now the so called record of those games is a false one.

Well, kind of. USSF wants the rule primarily because they hate that HS ball even exists. They could care less about it. The rule does protect players, but USSF wants it for their own self interests. Of course the rule is a good idea. It's also why some states restrict HS and club playing to varying degrees - it's too much for players and coaches can definitely take advantage. Any parent that thinks playing 7 days a week (which is basically what it would end up being, sometimes twice a day possibly) is a good idea for their kid needs to have their head examined. Then there's the ethical lessons of breaking rules. HS coaches don't care, it's not their rule and they want top players. Clubs that look the other way should be sanctioned somehow. But ultimately it's the parents who influence what their kids do and sadly I'm sure some parents are the ones encouraging it. It isn't just the kids who want it.

Gimme a break. The ussf, the clubs, the leagues, the schools, they don't really care about the players. Their decisions are all driven by their wallets and their own selfish interests. And then they object when people ignore their self serving rules. What have any of these organizations done to deserve the respect of the players and parents? That ship has sailed.

Anyone that trusts any of these organizations is a fool. Watch out for your own player and their team mates and don't expect the same in return.

If you've got cheaters on your kids' team, use it as chance to discuss doing the right thing, not the selfish thing. Sometimes the rules stink (but they are the rules) and sometimes people will cheat (but you shouldn't encourage it). Raising a good person is more important in the long run then getting your name in the local paper.

Teach your kid not to be a rube.

Are there any repercussions for either DA or high school leagues?
