      I do - good friend's kid turned down an two Ivies for an unreal deal at a top academic D3. The annual grant was $45K. The family could just swing the rest because they saved (as much as they could with 4 kids) and the kid worked a part time job/two jobs in the summer. If she'd taken the Ivy she was looking at easily $80K debt because the family, like so many others, made too much to qualify for much for financial aid (only one year was decent when they had a 2nd child also in college). She's still getting a great education, even if it wasn't the Ivy one she'd worked so hard for, and will to into grad school debt free. She's on her own for that, but not having $80K weighing her down going in to grad school is HUGE.
