To say their kid is on ECNL! Donít you know having a kid on ECNL gives you water cooler bragging rights.

Take a look at college rosters and you will see the majority of those players are from ECNL and DA clubs, but they are from many different ECNL and DA clubs. Not just a few. Every D-I program is in attendance at ECNL events with multiple coaches. They see all the teams. Oh...Iím sure D-III programs are out seeing the EDP teams play....and that is a bonus for kids that just play to have fun and playing college soccer isnít a goal or the entire team.
D1 coaches are at these events. However, no D1 coaches are actually coming to FC Bucks games taking place at these events.

Look at FC Buck's college commitments. FC Bucks never had a ton of D1 commitments to begin with, but look specifically at the drop off of D1 commitments since Eddie Leigh passed away and the new DOC started running club into the ground. Now the only D1 school anyone from FC Bucks commits to is St. Joes - and guess who's wife is the coach at St. Joes - yep - the DOC at FC Bucks. And even at that, St. Joes is only taking 1-3 FC Bucks players a year - the top 1-3 players.

So if your the best player at FC Bucks, St. Joes is likely your only choice for D1, and even then it is a very small chance. The reality is, when it comes to D1 if your a top FC Bucks player, your chances for D1 is very likely worse than the worst player at PDA or any other top ECNL club.

Save your money. Play EDP. Invest savings from no ECNL. Target a few DII and DIII schools and have your kid attend their ID camps/clinics. Overall you end up at the same schools most FC Bucks players are ending up at, and you will have more money

All facts people - do your research and go on the bucks college commitments page and then try to argue with this post.

Another newsflash ... they are coming to see the other team or they are leaving totally unimpressed. They certainly are not handing out schollies like halloween candy and nothing else matters. If your kids can't play, it dont matter ... conversely, if a kid can play any coach with any sense dont give a rat's ***** if they have a cute, colorful patch on their sleeve and wasted $50 grand on soccer over the past 5 or 6 years!

and EDP teams have no kids left after u15 because they leave for ECNL and ECNL R programs. Facts are the facts. Nothing wrong at all with playing EDP for kids that love the game and are playing just for fun.

Since bucks is constantly holding mid year tryouts doesnít look like there is a lot of kids on bucks ECNL either. Bucks ECNL is not any better than a top EDP team at this point. And the college commitments are no better either . Facts are facts.

Nice to see the twats moved over to this page.

When was last time an EDP team beat an ECNL team at this age group? March '17 DEFC beat Bucks 3-2, and Philly SC may have beat an ECNL team last year. So lets be honest because besides DEFC and Philly SC the rest of the EDP teams in this area are garbage. FC Bucks 8 w 0 l 1 t vs EDP since that loss. Continental 0 losses the last two years to ECNL teams. DEFC and Philly SC (again not a slight in those teams they are excellent) are something like a combined 1 - 6 - 2 vs ECNL teams. All the best talent might not be in the ECNL but certainly there is a lot more. Now with GDA, EDP is even weaker. Keep chasing those gotsoccer points and state cups. Talk about water cooler fodder!

Bucks holds mid year tryouts every year begging for players.
Bucks college commitments consist primarily of D2,D3 schools with an occasional D1.
Keep trying to convince yourself that ECNL at Bucks is the be all end all. One of these days you may even believe it.

Hmmmm then why were World Class and Bethesda ECNL teams in the first bracket??? Are they also chasing points or is the truth that they wanted to play better competition? You figure that out smart guy....

Nobody said its the be all and end all. ECNL is not for everyone for a variety of reasons. I am not sure why you feel like its your calling in life to trash the club and by extension those who play there. Great, we get it you hate FC Bucks, you're going to do it your way, ECNL is a just fancy patch etc.. etc... Do us all a favor and start a new thread with your club name and your kids age group so we can read all the positive things being done and make decisions accordingly or better jyetcust start thread called ...EDP is great because.... and let the soccer community tell us. This calling out individual clubs and teams is tiiring and no I am not affiliated with FC Bucks.
