You all are wasting your money on thIs ECNL team.
There were local EDP teams in higher brackets than you. Sad.
ECNL is the a better league and better experience for the players. The kids can always drop to an EDP team, but it must be tough being on the outside looking in....but there isnít anything wrong with EDP, itís all about playing for fun.

It appears ECNL not a great experience after reading these boards. Itís about fun but also development as players and teams, which EDP teams appear to be doing better than FC Bucks. Must be tough being in lower brackets looking up.

If ECNL is such a great League than why would Bethesda (who is also an ECNL club) put other great league ECNL teams in the 4th bracket of their tournament? Perhaps they know the truth and did the right thing. Loudon ECNL was also in the lower brackets...

Easy, non ECNL teams chase gotsoccer points, they have to. Bethesda doesnít set the brackets, the tournament company they sub out to run the event sets the brackets. Also, in two years, those ECNL teams will have 75 plus D-I coaches coming to their games, especially the ECNL national events you canít attend...and if you ask a college coach if they are going to an EDP event, they will ask you, whatís an EDP? So keep chasing those gotsoccer points. Stay thirsty my friend.

Serious question.

If ECNL is so great at Bucks - why do they have ďmid yearĒ tryouts every year at the club? They are literally begging for players with rosters om the teams less than 18. Think about it.

Iíve been to these ECNL national events. There are tons of college coaches. Problem is the 75+ D1 coaches ainít coming to the FC Bucks games at these events. They are at PDA, Slammers, Michigan and other top ECNL club games. Just like regular tournaments there is seeding at ECNL tournaments. Top teams play other top teams. Lower ranked teams play other lower ranked teams. Take a guess where the D1 college coaches are going to spend their time.

That's better than paying for and playing for a patch that you perceive gives your superiority. If several non ecnl teams can beat you, what are you really playing (paying) for?

Yeah, you would think they donít come to see FC Bucks, but they do. Itís an old argument that is just proven with some pictures and attendance lists taken by managers handing out profiles. We easily pull 40 to 80 coaches a game at ECNL events. On a bad day, usually if scheduled late day on the last day, we still get 15-30 coaches. Iíll simplify for you. Take a look at college rosters and you will see the majority of those players are from ECNL and DA clubs, but they are from many different ECNL and DA clubs. Not just a few. Every D-I program is in attendance at ECNL events with multiple coaches. They see all the teams. Oh...Iím sure D-III programs are out seeing the EDP teams play....and that is a bonus for kids that just play to have fun and playing college soccer isnít a goal or the entire team.

Easy answer. FC Bucks are grossly mismanaged. The club is run like a town program, not a club playing in a top league. This hasnít always been the case as Bucks were top-level when they had EL. FC Bucks could easily regain prominence but they need new leadership. They player talent pool is good, but the leadership is poor. A good DOC and support staff would go along way. If Bucks makes the changes and works for the players the club can recover. Without removing the DOC, the club will continue to be one of the worst in the ECNL.

Then why are there so few D1 college commitments on the Bucks college list for the past two year? The Bucks list is littered with D2,D3 schools and of course St. Joes - bc Manellaís wife is the coach at that school. The facts refute your argument. Most of those at bucks end up on the same D2,D3 teams as the EDP players - the joke is on you.
