Why even pose this question? Evidence is within the largest club in MLS. Another thread is conversing over the new "discovery program" of the Timbers....gee...I wonder why?

Ask your Vancouver/Oregon Timbers DOC or technical directors how they connect their talent to opportunities? Ask them how that all works and how many players they've sent on? Then ask in what leagues..... I'm sure you'll have a fun conversation.

Or just stay on here screaming at each other.

Evidence is within the largest club in MLS...meant the largest club in Oregon or any affiliate.

The only 'non club' opportunities available for competitive youth players is the DA program for Boys & Girls housed within the MLS & NWSL franchise locally.

Connecting to the DA is done by a team of high level scouts beating the pavement and turf to get the area's elite into their DA platform.

Club fare, is still local club fare.

      Sorry you didn't know.

It's not public knowledge it's the inner workings the highly evolved Timbers/Thorns pro staff.

It's a protected a proprietary process, they are doing a great thing if nobody knows, that's called compliance.

Actually if we could afford to spend 10k to 20k on club team travel to get ready for OSAA fall season that would be awesome!

                Jealous, Absolutely.

Fools? Hardly that distinction goes to you the poor clueless, simpletons with deep pockets and shallow IQ's....

It is easy to argue that people making enough money are smarter than the poor fools who cannot afford it. Additionally, only a fool would exaggerate the cost. Looks like you fit both bills.

The ability to make money has no correlation to common sense or intelligence.
                    See Donald Trump.

Not spending foolishly does makes someone wise and prudent.
You are neither and enjoy reckless spending.
So be it, it's your money.

                      So, it's bling.

                      But we knew that already.

So be it, it is other people’s money and to foolishly judge other people for how they spend their money is what’s wrong with people like you.

It has been proven that ECNL provides players better competition and better opportunity. Jesuit is the perfect example of what happens when CU players play against local Oregon rabble. Them playing in OYSA would be no different and CU proves it when their younger teams play in State Cup. There is a clear need for these players to compete outside Oregon for the right level of competition. You should also be thankful for your false illusion of how good your DD and her team are. Live the highlife while you can!

IT's a know reality that Title IX has created opportunity for girls not any 'league'.

USYS & the DA have proven they provide better competition and better opportunity for girls. 'A blanket statement 'that can be proven on a case by case basis for any league club, rec or even the recreational HS.

Jesuit is the perfect example of how bad the quality of players are that join either of the 2 local travel only clubs. 150 HS girls play in the club travel only charade and they don't all play at Jesuit. These other girls aren't making their own HS any better upon return from year round travel, which they should if what you say held any water. Then with the DA selecting around 60 of the top HS aged players in the state this dilutes the HS product even more. If the local travel only club players were of any high standard worthy of only playing out of state, their HS teams would not be pounded and overwhelmed by a lone HS team of decent club players and they wouldn't be paying full fare to attend irrelevant DIII schools. Oregon's lack of competition in Girls is appalling indictment of how insane a decision to commit to year travel actually is. Even with this year round out of state club travel the HS teams can't even compete with Jesuit. What a joke. These same travel only club CU and FC teams were pounded by greater goal differentials then Jesuit administers today when the were bottom feeders in the Pre DA- ECNLeague 3 years ago. Once the DA rapture occurred US Club was forced to keep all the fodder clubs (which includes CU and FC) then add more fodder clubs to replace the 80 quality clubs that left.

Travelling all year round for the reward of being pounded by Jesuit what a wonderful rationale and visa versa. HS soccer is the apex I guess.

Oregon has never documented any team in in it's history that was worthy of only playing outside of Oregon, never once winning even a region iv title when all clubs were under the usys banner, also no Oregon girls team has ever produced a single US National Player (millbrett played with boys).

Paying for useless travel is the only way to feed your fantasy land of suspended disbelief.

So be it, Travel on Wayne! Travel on Garth!

I bet you think your $800 Gucci handbag is a higher quality product than something you can get at costco for $40. More durable, easier to clean, and otherwise better at being a handbag. That you're not paying $40 for the bag, and $760 for the label.

Kering S.A., the French conglomerate that nowadays owns the Gucci mark, would like to thank you for being a such a mark. As would the coaching staff at Crossfire United.

GDA has only proven to be a failure which is why clubs are moving back to ECNL. FACTS prove you wrong every time.

I will just point to the scoreboard when CU plays local competition. You can find the results on OYSA’s website. Look it up and educate yourself.
