They tried to install grass in Eugene, but the student body kept smoking it.

Yes it is; and very expensive to maintain. These are not rolls of grass from Home Depot. Geez, come on people; You all must be Oregon grads....

The U of O has plenty of funds for nice athletic facilities. Too late now but their soccer stadium should’ve been built with a grass field. Turf is too hard on the legs. Ask any pro soccer player. Field material choice isn’t the coaches fault.

            Why fire her ?

Why fire her ? Because she is not winning ? Is it about winning or helping young women continue to develop into leaders of tomorrow.

College athletics makes money three ways. Football and men's basketball, this is big money for the U of O Win at all cost yes! Student tuition dollars, more of a D3 small college model. And alumni contributions. U of O women's soccer is none of these. Meaning no one cares if they don't win, just like OSU and most women's PAC 12 teams. These programs just cost money. That is fine because college isn't about sports it is about academics.

D1 coaches on TV where fans buy tickets, people buy commercials and advertising. Yes those coaches are paid to win. But other sports coaches ??????

It's both. And she's doing neither. She has completely lost the team with her lies, broken promises, and inconsistent leadership. Look for mass transfers if she is retained.

Is mommy and daddy mad their little ECNL or GDA player isn't playing ? Hopefully there is a mass transfer because these players stink. The game is won and lost by the players in soccer.

Then whoever recruits the players should lose their jobs or recruit better players.

True, perhaps, but ECNL mommy is convinced that the reason her little Tiffeny is on the bench is politics and favoritism, and if the new coach would only play her and put the other girls on the bench then the Ducks would be off to the College Cup.

Normally, fans who whine about a losing coach don't do it in a youth soccer forum, and don't say squat about whether or not the player are happy--fans mainly compare about the win loss record. If someone comes in here and posts stuff about the locker room, it's obviously a teed-off parent who hasn't figured out that her daughter is an adult now and doesn't need helimom hovering over her head.

Agree. Most college rosters are close to 30 players so there are many players who don’t get many minutes. Work hard and earn it or transfer. There is a reason soccer has such a high transfer rate. Tough for prima donnas to go from high school star to bench warmer.

You're on the wrong forum. Again.

Oh. I hear your son calling you to say, "Get over it, and here, take your bitter pill now."
