        MP at Trinity Men's Program has to be on the hot seat. 3 years of dismal performance. Athletic Director needs to step up and prove he can make the right decision, soon.

            I heard something along lines of MP coaching one more year before handing things off to the top assistant.

              Good luck. Talk about jumping from freezer into frying pan. Rough neighborhood; a lot of crime. Read the police stats. Did some graduate work there. Happy to leave.

                They had a terrible soccer field when our D visited the campus 7 years ago (not an OV, just looking at Philly area schools). Rest of the campus looked ok, but it is smack dab in the middle of a rough neighborhood. They were promising a better field was coming and it looks like they built a really nice complex a few years ago https://owlsports.com/sports/2018/2/...plex-wsoc.aspx

                  You don't live at the complex. Hard pass.

                        I am curious about your connection and how reliable this info. might be. It is hard to believe that Trinity would put so little into their men's program. MP was a standout coach for many years, including an undefeated season at Kenyon, but is just not putting in the effort these last few years at Trinity. They are simply not competitive in the league. It will take years to re-coup the program if they start immediately.

                        2017 = 4-10-1
                        2018 = 2-13 (0-10 in the NESCAC)
                        2019 = 1-13-1 (0-10 in the NESCAC)

                        The AD needs to show the alumni that he cares about the soccer program as much as football, squash, etc. and invest in a new coaching squad. Care to share any additional hints on your source of info.? Thanks.

                          I heard it from the father of a player recruited to the team and due to begin play there in the fall.

                            I can't believe anyone would sign up as a recruit for this program if Pilger stays for another year. They are 0-10 in the NESCAC for the last two years. Has that ever happened in the history of the NESCAC?! They are simply not competitive and the coach has been putting in minimal effort, especially in terms of recruiting, and making lots of excuses. Even if he has a year left on his contract, the AD can move him somewhere else in the athletic department and pony up for a new professional coach that can start to turn the program around. This is a new AD with a strong background from Dartmouth. He needs to focus his attention and $ where the school is struggling the most... Men's soccer! This is embarrassing to the school and crushing for the boys' love of the game.

                              In 2017 they were 1-8-1 in the NESCAC. That means they have won a single game and tied a single game in the last three years in this league. AD has got to act now.
