Braintree, interestingly has 19 juniors that should be coming back next year, just based on that info, have a hunch Braintree will be back next year. Newton North should be strong with 13 returning juniors. Brockton has 15 seniors on the roster, but hasn't had that great season. Lincoln-Sudbury and Lexington should be strong as well. Somerville and Concord Carlisle will look to graduate a good percentage of seniors.

That site is a mess and they don't make it easy to direct link, but here is how I do it:

      Go to:
      http://miaa.net/athletics/easy_pages...e_id=23&sid=38

Choose your school and you are taken to that school's page. You can bookmark that URL for future reference.

Once the school page in the Teams box scroll down to and click the box next to the sport you are interested in.

Then click "Print Roster" under the "Roster Options" dropdown (also in the Teams box)

SJP over Lexington in PK's (4-2) after a 1-1 double overtime battle.

In D1 North the two “neutral sites” are the home site for two semi finalists. The MIAA is absolute joke.

            Switch Them?

Why wouldn't they just switch them so SJP plays at LS and vice versa. Seems like a pretty simple, fair fix.

Not sure it's as much of a home field advantage at LS as one might imagine. LS plays on a field with 2 year old turf (beautiful) but does not have lights.

Game will be in football stadium with turf that's very old and not very good. Disadvantage to whoever plays there IMHO.

Coincidently, that's what we said last year when SJP had to play Brockton at Brockton in the state D1 semi-final when just 15 miles down the road at Taunton High school the D2 South final between Oliver Ames v. Pembrook was being played at the exact same time.

I'm guessing SJP isn't going to be feeling too sorry for East Boston which just beat Somerville in OT 1-0.

I think it has to do more with the travel and comfort that comes from playing at home vs the quality of the field itself.

20 minute ride up rt.1 to prep from east boston. No problem. And a very nice turf field.

Can we agree that you can’t declare a team “the dark horse” once they’re in the sectional semi?

Sorry all, will be swamped with work and coaching basketball. I'll try to give score updates when I can. Tomorrow might be tough. Some interesting games over the past 2 days, East Boston knocking off Somerville and St. John's Prep defeating Lexington in PK's, any game reports from either one?
