    Opfc 2, WT 0

AFAIK no ambulances were summoned for this one, and I've no idea what crap might be on circulating on social media.

Rumor has it that the Opfc coaching staff was mightily displeased with fall season, and had a winter break boot camp. Looks like it might have worked.

    On to the next match...

And the westside excuse train rolls on- how about a recap for everyone else. It seems you only do that when it’s to your benefit...

        No excuses, they just lost.

And no recaps this season (win, lose, or draw). You will notice that none were posted for fall...

Agreed on the no recaps. Be thankful they get a chance to play at all and leave it at that, regardless the outcome.

When everyone is wearing a surgical mask no need for ambulance. OPFC couldn't make a campfire with their millennial misfits.

In the prior match last fall, an OPFC player suffered a broken wrist on an ill-advised tackle of a Westside player. THPRD requires that the paramedics be called on any broken bone or other serious injury, and they were. Not sure if he left in the ambulance, but one did come to the field.

              Nothing to do with covid-19.

Wow. Stay classy people. Can we not all agree that now, more than ever when our country is being ripped apart and divide at the very fabric of it's core....the people....Now is the time for hating less and finding commonalities. How about instead of putting somebody down, to make yourself feel better about a bad situation, you acknowledge that the other person/team is just as committed as you/your team. It is just youth soccer. There is a winner and a loser. Oh, that's right...y'all do ties over here.

their misfit staffers have not changed due the pandemic, don't twist or spiral this reality into your half azzzed sanctimonious cries. It's pathetic not to mention quite shallow.

This post confuses me...what dig are you really attempting to take at opfc? Campfire? Millennial misfits? Please explain

Copa Dad would like to second the objections to some of the potshots being taken at the OPFC staff, above. While I like beating them, and wasn't happy with today's result (still a lot better than what happened after New Years LAST year), the age of their coach has nothing to do with anything.

After all, WE had a millennial coach last year, and SE did fine. Now we've got his dad (hopefully none of the kids have given him a hearty "OK boomer"), and are also doing fine.

Today's game was a fair, clean match. The other side won. No need to be nasty, especially when I'm not sure why such is warranted.

Exactly- the staff of millennial misfits took some lumps early on asking the team to completely change their formation and the way they play (something they have done for years together under their previous coach who is now at fc) and they believed in long term development- it will pay off going forward. Some growing pains early but playing direct all the time (westside now and opfc previously) does not work consistently at the older ages and is not something that is predictable or consistent in terms of results

I will give a recap-OPFC put the ball in the back of the net twice and westside did not

It's too nuanced and layered for this crowd. Same as it ever was.

Didn't Gordon Ramsay leave OPFC about two years ago?

Or has there been another coaching change since then?
