No not at all. It's just what it has turned into at BS

Another South Kent kid added to U19. One of their leading scorers. There are now 25 kids on that roster

Why is this club going the prep school route? I dont remember them doing this before. Why arent they attracting the best players anymore? They used to have great non-prep players in the past. What happened?

They have had prep school players in the past but stopped waivering them. Now they need players due to poor performance

As to why they are NOT attracting strong players.

1. NYCFC is getting the BEST players now (multiple FC county boys there now)
2. Many BSers went back to high school

This isn't just about the BS façade, but DA in general. More people are questioning the benefits vs the costs (not just financial and time but giving up HS sports too). DA can work out well if you're a consistent starter but it rapidly diminishes past that. Top the cake off with BS's poor performance, proximity to other DA clubs, high costs and the fundraising nonsense and they're going to have to battle to resurrect themselves.
